Consideration for Bonding Steel - Chemical Resistance
Major products include EP21AR, EP30M4LV, EP41S-1HT, EP62-1 and EP125. Two component, low viscosity, room temperature curing EP21AR provides outstanding resistance to acids. EP30M4LV can withstand exposure to fuels, oils, bleach, 50% sodium hydroxide and 98% sulfuric acid. It has excellent flow, low exotherm and exceptional electrical insulation characteristics. EP41S-1HT is serviceable to +400°F and can resist gasohol. High performance EP62-1 has superior dimensional stability and a Tg >170°C. Its volume resistivity is >1014 ohm-cm. It cures rapidly at moderate temperatures and features a long working life. For prolonged service above 500°F, EP125 is the system of choice. Mechanical strength properties are impressive and durability exceptional.
Multiple formulations with different viscosities, colors, cure speeds, hardnesses, strengths, etc. are available for use for bonding steel.
